How to apply
Your application should be submitted online. You will be able to track its progress. You will need to complete all personal details about your nationality, ethnicity and any disability, which will be retained by our HR department and not seen by the selection panel.
Only successful applicants will be contacted for interview. If you have not heard from us within two weeks of the closing date this means that you have been unsuccessful.
The online guidance will help you to complete your online application form. We do not accept CV's unless specifically stated.
Job description and person specification
Before you apply, you should download a copy of the job description and person specification. The main part of the process is where you are asked to provide a supporting statement which gives examples related to the essential skills, behaviours, knowledge and experience outlined in the person specification. If you do not provide a supporting statement, your application will not be taken through to the shortlist stage.
Equality and diversity
We welcome applications from everyone. It is very important to let us know if you have a disability at this stage so we can make reasonable adjustments for you. As a recognised disability symbol user, if you meet the minimum criteria for the role, we will offer you an interview.
Shortlisting and interview
Shortlisting will be completed as soon as possible after the closing date, and will be based on the information you have provided in your supporting statement of the application form. The interview questions will be based around the key knowledge, skills, behaviours and experience set out in the person specification. If you are invited to an interview you will be notified in writing.
Can I apply if I have a criminal record
Having a criminal record will not necessarily bar an applicant from working with us. This will depend on the nature of the position and the circumstances and background of the offences. Prior to interview, you'll need to declare any unspent criminal convictions. We will consider any convictions declared on a case by case basis.
Can I apply by post?
If you do not have access to the internet and are therefore unable to complete our online application we are happy to receive your application by post.
Will you accept late applications?
No - in the interest of fairness to all candidates, we do not extend deadlines for individual applicants.
What should my supporting statement include?
Your supporting statement should address the requirements of the person specification and demonstrate how you meet these. You will need to provide examples of how you have used the necessary skills and experience in your current and or previous work.
I've forgotten to upload a supporting statement before submitting my application - what do I do now?
If you have trouble saving any section of the form or forget to attach your supporting statement please email the details of your statement to firstname.lastname@example.org
Will I get feedback on my application and interview
We do not usually provide feedback at the application stage. We will contact all unsuccessful candidates informing them how they can go about obtaining verbal feedback on their interview.
When will you contact my referees?
We will usually contact your referees once a formal job offer has been made.
