Tenant overjoyed as 100th kitchen fitted on St. Raphael's Estate
Brent Housing Partnership (BHP) has installed its hundredth kitchen on St. Raphael’s Estate, Stonebridge as part of its kitchen replacement programme. This is the first landmark milestone on the way to replacing 310 kitchens on St. Raphael’s Estate this financial year.
The kitchen replacement programme is focused on properties that are in need of modernisation. BHP is completing approximately 15 kitchens per week and the project is ahead of schedule with the works on target to be completed by mid-March 2017.
The kitchens have been professionally surveyed and designed to ensure all customer needs are considered. Residents will be fully involved in the process and are able to choose the colour of the units, work tops and flooring. Extra electrical sockets are being installed as part of the kitchen rewire, which also includes an extractor fan.
Mrs Kutumbuka who was the hundredth resident to receive her kitchen replacement, was overjoyed. She said: “I am very happy with my new kitchen. It's made a big difference to my life. I feel inspired and am looking forward to cooking meals for my family.”
Mark Drury, Investment Delivery Manager at BHP said: “We are very happy to have reached this landmark in the kitchen replacement programme and to see the massive difference these new kitchens are making to our residents’ lives. We have kept residents involved in the decision making process and have aimed to provide a high specification kitchen which is functional and durable.”
The customer satisfaction so far has been 97%, which exceeds the target of 95%.
