Residents discuss future of housing at BHP’s quarterly Talkback Forum
Tenants and leaseholders from across Brent gathered together to discuss the future of housing in Brent at BHP’s quarterly ‘Talkback’ residents’ forum which took place last week at Brent Civic Centre.
The theme for this session was “Your Homes Your Future.” Residents were invited to meet senior Brent Council and BHP staff to ask questions and discuss the way homes will be managed in the future, after the council’s decision to bring housing back under council control.
The meeting was preceded by a residents’ surgery, where residents were invited to drop-in and meet BHP staff representatives from all teams to discuss personal cases and issues, and to ask advice.
At the close of the meeting, there was a raffle draw and the prizes were donated by Axis, Wates and Polytek.
The next Talkback session will be held in September.
Mr Petueli, a tenant from Harlesden said: “I found Talkback very useful and helpful as I got many issues resolved. This was exactly what I needed. Staff checked everything and were very clear.”
Mr Faustin Julius James, a tenant from Kilburn said: “I had a nice chat with a lovely lady on one of the stands. She really listened and was very patient.”
Rowann Limond, Interim Managing Director of BHP said: “We would like to thank everyone who attended this quarter’s Talkback session. It was great to see so many residents engaging with us. We received many positive suggestions which we will be taking on board where appropriate, and providing feedback at future sessions.”
