Planned improvement work
Brent Housing partnership (BHP) successfully achieved the Decent Homes Standard for all our properties by the end of 2006, which was well ahead of the government's target of 2010.
What work is taking place?
We are currently running a number of projects for external works such as decorating, roofing, window repairs/replacements, occupational therapy adaptations and structural repairs to properties borough wide.
Major work is carried is largely being carried out by our contractor partners Wates Living Space. If your home is due to have an improvement we'll contact you to let you know and give you all the information you need.
By the end of the financial year 2016/17 BHP will gave completed work on 1556 properties. This will have included new kitchens and installation of new fire doors.
Brent Housing Partnership (BHP) is currently running a number of projects to refurbish the external areas of the properties we manage.
All properties not included in the current projects will be considered for external work as part of our future maintenance projects. We will do this by considering the external condition of the property and the need for the work to be done. We review these properties every year.
The level and type of works will depend on the budget available for each year.
If anyone visits your home claiming to be carrying out work on behalf of BHP the please check that they are who they say they are.
BHP staff and contractors will always carry identity cards and you should always ask to see their ID before you let them in your home.
